Hashim received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in mechanical engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 2010. Later, he worked as an assistant manager in Pakistan Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) for three years on a renewable energy project (wind turbines). In 2016, Hashim graduated from Ozyegin University, Turkey where he obtained Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. The topic of his dissertation was ' Performance Characterization and Optimization of an axial fan for electronic enclosures'. Currently, Hashim is a PhD researcher in the College of Engineering and Informatics at NUI Galway. Hashim is involved in ESIPP (Energy Systems Integration Partnership Program) project (Water Energy Nexus work package) which investigates water usage and energy analytics to optimize energy demand in industrial facilities.
